Good luck getting it fixed, wish I knew the part numbers for what my mechanic used on my car. When mine was leaking last year he replaced the upper and lower gaskets with the redesigned aluminum ones. Funny that the 3800 series 3 came with aluminum intake manifold gaskets but the series 2 came with nylon. When I made a comment to my mechanic that it was dumb of gm to use plastic gaskets, his reply was they learned from their mistake and made redesigned aluminum gaskets. Don't know how many horror stories I read about the gasket failing, and hydro locking the engine, or coolant getting into the oil and destroying the bearings on the crankshaft killing the motor. Anyway good luck getting the monte back into top shape.
