I have a 1996 monte carlo. We thought the only prolems that it had was the intake gasket. We replaces all the gaskets and put a new battery in it. Tried to start it and nothing happend it just turns over. We hooked it up to a Snap on computer and the ECM states the car was running when it not. i have a 00 monte carlo ss, and we jsut bought it from a dude in KC MO and turns out the map sensor was messed up.. is that a problem? does it happen alot?

 

map sensors don't go out that often, but it's easy enough to buy a new one and replace it.the engine will run very rough, so get a new one.
