yep these engines dont like many plugs... i recently tried to use NGK iridum plugs. and they arent bad, but my old plugs i felt were better.
my fav plug right now is the AC Delco Rapid fire platnums. they lasted a long time and worked well.

Glad you went with OEM parts, yes 3.4 DOHC wires are expensive, some of the longest boots you will see on a set of wires! Another thing that will really wake that 3.4 DOHC is a Fuel Injector Service. SMooths out your idle, gives you more power and better accelleration. That is true for any car I suppose, I just found when I had that service done on mine, it made a BIG difference!
