Default Changing the Thermostat

i was wondering how hard it would be to change the thermostat. when i removed the engine cover and found the place where i think the thermostat is located, it seem like it under a bunch of cables and wires. Are those easy to disconnect or move out the way so i can access the thermostat housing? Also a step by step guide would be helpful?

Also bought so far is 180 t-stat, a water gasket and socket wrench set, is that everything i need?

I can't give you a step by step guide, but I remember changing mine was a PITA. I have an 04, so I'm not sure how similar it is to a 99. There is a quite of bit of stuff in the way that makes the whole thing more time consuming than it should be. Once you get to the actual thermostat though, it just pops right out.

Which engine is in your MC? 3.8 is child's play, 3400 is under the TB and takes a few different tools, and a 3.4 DOHC should just be left alone and burnt to the ground for insurance money. Lol

i have a 3.8

there like a big double braided line covering access to the second bolt and then the fuel line is on top of that.

and i need to get another socket set for the first bolt because the screw is bigger than the second one

Yea, I got a 3400. It was more time consuming to change the thermostat than the radiator. LOL.
