Thank you all I know that no one wants to see a good car go down but today I am going to stay posative and just look at it as when I am done I will hove a new motor with 247 hp at the wheel . The one I am ordering today is a hi performance motor from a place in Texas called Bradshaw 's or something like that I will know more hrer I a little bit when I can see my mechanic he is the one to recommend them .

Brock as much as it sucked yester day even the tow truck driver commented on how good the car looked on his trailer lol

I did forget to mention (and I know I was not alone), the title of this thread had me REALLY worried the car was TORCHED! "Blazed" as it were. Don't get me wrong, a dead motor sucks, but at least the car is NOT lost!!

Blazed, keep that attitude! You're painting this as good as you can! And even though your baby was towed home, I think that was a heck of a compliment the tow truck driver paid you! Probably not every day he works with someone that takes pride in their ride (it's probably people driving cars beat to heck).

 

I was going to put blown blazed SS but it would have sounded like maybe I did something good to the car .
I guess I feel like I let my car down some how by passing the cars that were going 50 mph because of the slow camper in the front .maybe I should had been more patient and just waited for a passing lane. Idk .
Now with the cost of the new motor 3150$ shipped and the tranny witch I am going to have them go though and rebuild and upgrade (shift kit, torque converter , ect ) that will be another 1000$ man that is going to leave me good for the turbo setup but the bad news is it will be another year before I can do that upgrade
I guess back to saving again.
The tow truck driver was very cool guy for sure
Well of on the trip again now in the wife's car we are still going to the show in Canada I just will not be able to compete

At least you get a fresh start with a brand new motor. And 247 hp is great too. more hp than a stock supercharged monte. Good luck getting it all back together,
