Default alternator amperage?

anyone know what the stock alternator amperage is for our 200-2005 monte's?

i've been trying to find a company that will make a High Output alternator for us, and i found powermaster will.

it seems on the internet and in stores, we only have an option for a regular stock alternator.

brady at powermaster said that he could build one up to about 225 amps for us, and depending on which finish i'd like, the price would be different.

he quoted me 520 shipped with everything i need. that is for a polished finish.

wondering if anyone else would be interested for one.......i'll email him again and maybe we could do a potential group buy?

just trying to find out the stock amperage.

There's a company called Motor City Remanufacturing that makes high output alternators to fit our cars, but I don't know much about them at all.
I know that the website that sells the Knu Koncepts wires sells high output alternators as well.
I have no idea what the price or actual output is though for either one.

I have gotten a few quotes from different alt companies and from Mechman.com i got "No problem- we have a 250 amp rhino series unit for only $399 shipped to your door, does over 150 amps at idle!"
and i got one more quote from another place, but i cant remember where and it was about the same price for the about the same amperage.
I frequent a few car audio forums and from what i have seen power master and mechman are about the highest regarded in terms of reliability, where as alts from Excessive amperage are almost constantly getting complaints.

Lightbulb

this is what brady at powermaster sent me:

I can't go any lower on the polished one because it's a custom unit ($520). For a natural finish, the part number is 48286, which we can sell for about $385. For the 2000 and 2001 the alternator is a little different, and the highest I have is 150 amps, part number 48243. We can sell the 48243 for $235

Thank you,
Brady
