i have in the past, the current trans was built by dave though because i needed all new seals installed etc and i dont have all the tools to do that. as far as a soft rebuild its pretty simple to do though (i think) lol

I gotta question about installing a trans cooler on my ls4. Just to make sure I'm not tripping, I'm sure you or bumpin could answer this easily. I watched a vid on YouTube for installing on a gxp.

My question is, I'm assuming from the vid he's not bypassing the radiator, which I don't wanna do cause I don't wanna buy a 300+ cooler to do it cause I'm not racing lol, but the question is, did he do it correctly lmao, cause that looks pretty simple and I'm reallllyyy not trying to screw up my tranny

looks ok to me, you want to have the trans fluid flow out of the trans to the factory radiator/cooler then from there to your aftermarket cooler, then from your aftermarket cooler back to the trans.

Whew thanks for answering so quick, I'm assuming any cooler would work? I saw a lot of good 24k+ weight ones on Amazon for decent prices.

I'm assuming the guy is using the plate kind then? Lol I would prefer that but what weight size is yours for? I'm assuming it's probably a bigger cooler than a normal small one for casual driving?
