99 mc troubles

Default 99 mc troubles

Car was a theft recovery. Starter car w damaged column car woiuld go front n back w trans. Car sat till I got a new column. Car starts but won't move. Trans does not act like its engauging at all. Car has 121k on it. Fluid looks n smells good. U can see the linkage iunder the booser moving when shifted n the car. Please help

its comon when a vehicle that has happened to it like it did. it is the linkidge insside of the trans. what you see on the out side moves fine but the inside wont move. same thing happened to the 88 plymoth voyager that i had befor i gave it to my brother. i took apart mine it ended up being that. but i would check all of the electrical as well as the silinoids to see if there is any damage befor diving into the trans to fix that piece.

thank you for takin the time to reply and help me. afterall thats why forums are in place correct?

few questions will a scan tool pickup and external or internal silenoid malfunctions if no service engine light is present?

If the level is broken how intense is that removal and replacement process? does it require dissasembling most of the trans?
