Default 96 monte carlo coolant leak

I just replace my water pump about 6 days ago, there was any apparent leak, when i pulled the pump from the housing, there was brown luiqid at the bottom of it, i was thinking the guy before me wasnt putting coolant in it. I filled it to the cold line with coolant. It hasnt been moved because im gettin my license tuesday. Only every other day starting up, so the battery doesnt die. Im going to pull the pulley off and see if it leaking on sunday. Until then any ideas?

im going to try to flush the system and see if that fixes it, because i was just talking to another person and wat the owner before me was putting water in it, so now im thinking there is rust in the system and i need to flush the system and see what happens after that

check the hoses, clamps, T stat, ect.... hope its not your intake manifold gaskets. although if your car is like mine, just keep an eye on the coolant leval and add as nessicary... i drove mine for a year and almost 10k miles with a coolant leak before it got "bad".... only reason its parked is becase i commute about 65 miles a day and it started to loose all the antifreeze before i could get home, and i just decided to use my truck. before that last week it only used mabe a quart or two of antifreeze every 1-2 weeks. and it NEVER overheated on me, heck the temp guage never even touched the 3/4 mark.

naw it was the radiator, it really was barely any coolant at all in it. So i filled it up to the goose neck and ran it till it started to sumwhat boil, and then i put the cap on and filled the expansion chamber to cold, and i was good to go. Thanx for the help guys, i really appreciate it
