Finally getting around to building a better SB for my 85SS. Base engine 350 bored .030 over. Mild cam from 350HP 327s, pocket ported 882 heads, and flat tops. I dont expect anything major from this combo, but it'll be better than the 305HO. Shouldnt be too bad for a driver and reliability. Only have the shortblock together so far, but heres a pic. BTW, this is a stock replacement, Im keeping all emissions on the car and functioning. My next Monte will be more of a playtoy.

Well, I've had it done for a while now. Ended up going bigger than what I anticipated and its pushing about 350 minus the emissions and assuming I can get enough air into the carb, thats my current problem. MSD, Iridium plugs, Edelbrock Intake and TES Headers, Flowmaster. It sounds real good. Working on brakes now, then the trans.

 

so what does it run at the track. or what can you beat on the streets, acura's mustang's camaro's?
