Question 84 monte carlo no spark at distibutor

Whats up everyone, i have ran into a problem with my 84 monte carlo ss. drove it to work last week and it ran fine, then went to start it at lunch and it would crank over but would not fully start.. i checked for spark and there is none. i have changed the distributor cap, rotor button, ign module, ign coil, condenser, alternator and battery and have checked all the fuses under the dash. i have fuel to the carb to. the only thing left to change is the starter and check the fusible links that are in the metal tube by the starter. has any one ran into this problem before.

thank you

More than likely,
Its the coil pack that's mounted on top of the distributor cap.

Its an HEI distributor....
Did you purchase a "New" Module? Since you said you replaced it..
When it comes to electrical..Its never a good idea to use .. "Used"... Parts.

But with all the things you replaced... My Moneys on the faulty Coil pack or neutral safety switch!

PS:
Did you try starting it in neutral?
Maybe its the neutral safety switch?

thank you

If you have power (It cranks over) Then its not a fuseable link...
Its definitely an Ignition issue...
If the starter was bad.... It would start..But stahl out the moment you let off the key....

Theres something in the ignition system you have over looked..
It is possible to get a bad Module.... did you put the fresh die electric grease on the bottom of the module before you instahled it?

Also the condenser could also be faulty.... electrical is always a bummer...
I'm just hopeing you put all new parts... and not used from a buddy or the boneyard.
That's never a good idea...

Did you properly plug everything back in? were all the connections free of rust and corrosion?
Whens the last time you put new plugs and wires on it?

1 other thing.....
How many miles are on the motor?
Maybe you have a bad/broken timing chain?

To check for this....
Pull the #1 plug, Bring the piston up to top dead ctr...
Remove the distributor cap and see if the rotor is pointing at #1 on the distributor....
If it isn't.. Then the motor has jumped time...and you wont have any spark.
Timing chains fail with out notice....of anything wrong ...until it absolutely fails.
