no spark and no fuel in 2000 Monte Carlo LS
Hello I am here for one reason and that is to find out why I have no power to my fuel pump and and power for spark . i just changed out my water pump and after that i get crank but no start . check all fuses and relays found noting. I also replaced crank sensor. But still not a thing . just turns over but no fire or or fuel. I would be very thankful for any help with this. Thanks Chris
You need to check and see where it's losing power at with a multimeter (can be had as cheap as a couple bucks). Obviously you can start at the battery- if that's charged, and hooked up- then move to your underhood fuse box- see if you've got power to the fuel pump relay with the car on. Same with spark- you can start at either end- start at the ICM under the coils and check for power there, and keep working back until you find where it has power.
So they both went out at the same time? And all you changed was replacing a water pump?

Hello , Yes all I was change out the water pump because it was leaking and after that I went to start car to top off anti freeze and alls I get is crank no fire or gas . I have check all the fuses and relays. I have check for power under hood . battery is up and charged. I have replaced crank sensor and still no power to fuel pump or to coils. the only thing that I know of now is pcm. how and where do you check the pcm.
I have even put a code scan on it and there is no codes. Now I am lost. I
have been working on cars for a long to and this is realy got me lost for next step.

You didn't read my post thoroughly- if you've been working on cars for awhile- you should have a good idea how to test a circuit.
You checked your battery, and its got +12.6 at the terminal- then you checked your fuel pump, and its got 0 (did you actually check it or the ICM or are you just assuming?)- because if that is the case, you obviously have a broken link somewhere in the system- so you trace the wires component by component. Neither should go through too much- at most, I'd think the battery, pcm, bcm, fuse box, fuel pump (or ICM). So you keep following the path from where it gets power to where it finally loses power. If power is fine, you can do the same for ground.
I understand the ignition system may be hard to diagnose because it doesn't always put out spark- but the fuel pump should be simple to check (by listening to see if it runs). You could always try jumping power straight from the battery to the relay output to- but you have to narrow down where the voltage is getting stopped.
Definitely don't keep replacing stuff- I imagine that CPS was kind of a pain. If it is the PCM/BCM stopping it- I would think it would be the security system- but I didn't think it would shut both down- I thought that was just fuel?
