a 267 was an option but yes stock engine. and if it is stalling at lights and at other times the carb is probably wore out or really gummed up, or you have a fuel leak. the fuel pump isn't like modern pumps where they are in the fuel tank and pump pressurized fuel through lines to the engine. the fuel pump is bolted to the side of the engine and sucks fuel from the tank then pumps it to the engine. if there is a leak is may not drip fuel on the ground but suck air instead of fuel. put a slight pressure on the fuel tank with compressed air, like about 1-2 psi no more and check for fuel leaking near the top of the tank or by the floor area above the axle. if it runs fine while you are driving down the road the carb is probably okay.

I agree with everything Justin Knight said. I'm not familiar with your year car but you might also want to do some basic maintenance and checks. Like fuel filter, air filter, plugs and it might not hurt to put a little dry gas in the tank.
