Heyo, I'm jus wondrin if anybody would happen to know of anyway I could find out what the original paint scheme for the 305 in my '79 was, I'm rebuilding it and I want to repaint it to factory restoration colors, but I have no clue what the original colours were. Thanx alot!

 

My guess for a '79 engine is black.

I know they were in '86. And I believe the 229 V6 in my girlfriend's '81 Monte is black.

 

only if it was a replacement engine it was black, a original 305 engine is blue

what other colors are you looking for i should be able to figure them out for you...

 

A '79 V6 was blue?

I'm certain the '80 V6 my cousin owned wasn't. I know my '86 305 isn't blue.
