has any one have thaught to put this in there monte's it is a six speed that chevy has it has got me thinking. plus i know i might need to change out the tcm and get the wire harness changed out as well as the shifter as well as the linkage. chime in i would like feed back if any one is wondering if they can get or see if a six speed would work i am also looking into it

 

not sure if the PCM will talk to a diff TCM? need someone like Will at Overkill to chime in and add some cents.

 

thats what i am thinking about but i dont know if the trans bolts are in the same location as the 4t65e and the hd type. i read on some other forums that they might fit on the w body but not sure.

 

Im sure ud prob need alot of custom parts to make it work

 

not much i was looking at one in the junk yard i wish i had the money to get it. the only custom set up i would have to do is the passenger side axel to length. it needs to be longer as in three inches. when i seen the 6t70 it was sitting beside a 4t65e and there were very little needing tp dp it seems that the trans uses the same trans mount. also a different shifter out of the malibue. and a tune for the bcm to match the shifter

 

i forgot to mention the wire harness and tcm for it i did the home work but it is tempting to get the 3.6 and the trans as one unit as well as the wore harness as well as the computers for it. then swap them as one unit but i also would like a uniqu monte the only one with a six speed that would be a tempting braging right. people saying they never made a six speed 3.5 monte for the 07 or any of them at all

if you could do that, that would be cool as hell, i have a 98 and that thought has come into my head, but it looks like way to much money in custom parts and time. plus i need my car for a daily driver. but again man cool as hell good luck and keep us updated!!!!
