3500 Top Swap?

can i ask how much hp you have now???

how much would you gain with the top swap???


how much would it cost???


i see all the time 3500's for 500-750. i want to pick one up for spare parts and what not.

i know the 3500 is 211 stock and i think the 3400 was 140 ish, correct me if im wrong. seems it would be easier to transplant and get more power. probly still wont be enough to satisfy.

and they dont make anything for the 3500 to add some ponys, thats less than 1000 bucks anyways. GL

3400 is 180 crank...so probably around 160 or so to the wheels, and i have CAI and tuned pcm, so idk maybe 165-170, and i dont like the idea of a whole engine swap, seems like more work than it needs to be..

i dont want to steal your thread or anything, but how much did it cost and does it make it faster off the line??? thats really the only thing i think is worng with my car. first gear is ok, but it shines more when it shifts to second. or does that have something to do with the gearing???

how much did what cost? mines super fast in 1st, ill be in 3rd and drop to first all the time, and just takes off, sounds like a good tuning will make it alot quicker in first for you

your milzy tuned pcm??? so it will help it off the line???

well i guess, it was a little quicker off the line, but the downshifting was the main thing that impressed me, and the raised rev limiter

like mak330 said there isnt much you can do to the 3500 but it is a vast improvement from the 3400. from the base hp from the 3400 and the 3500 base but i also heared that there is some more things you can do to the 3400 than the 3500. the 3400 you can turbo to supercharge them with the 3500 you cant there is well no demand to do the turbo or supercharger to the 3500. i have been looking for some places that there is performer upgrades but it is a quick and short list

i am not nocking any thing i like the 3400 and the 3500 as well i hust wanted to give a heads up on every thing

so all i need is upper intake manifolds? is that what hybrid is? will work for both with no modification?
