Your best bet is honestly probably selling your car and buying an SS

If i was to sell my car and save the money to buy a SS, I wouldnt be able to get the car for like another year. I was thinkin of making it a project. Ive been looking at other members post and pictures and they inspired me to do take the time and make it my own. Its easy to buy or have someone do something for you, its another thing to do it yourself. Its more of a hobby to me ive already done swaps on the 5th gen and 6th gen. 1 more wouldnt hurt lol.

I understand the want to make it a project, which is fine if you have a bunch of other cars to drive.

I just don't want you to make it a project if it will cost more in the end to have a car with less quality.

I understand. Im in the process now of buying another 5th gen Monte. Its clean, low miles, cheap. Just something to get me around for now and in bad weather.

So as far as the computers go there's not a PCM, just the ECM, TCM,and BCM?

and if I bought each computer individually, is there a place i can go to have it tune to the Engine and trans I get if I have to go that route.

Im hoping to find a donor.

Pretty sure you need tuning software to flash the ECM/TCM to your VIN and the BCM needs a Tech-2.

Thought a tech-2 might be able to do it all, I am unsure as I don't have one.
