Default 3500 to 5.3 V8 Swap

What parts are needed to take the 3500 out my 2006 LT and swap it with 5.3 V8? Is there a step by step on how to do it?

What is a TCM. I swapped a 3.4 dohc to 3.8 and a 3.8 to the supercharged 3.8 so i know wiring is important. Just curious on other mechanical parts are needed.

Does he have a post when he did his swap?

They split the PCM into the ECM and the TCM. Transmission has its own control module now.

This might be what you're looking for. This guy put an LS4 into his 2001.

That Monte Carlo "01 MC SS Sleeper LS4" is amazing

I was hoping he had a parts list posted. Im sure I wont need every part he needed seeing that I already have the 7th gen Monte.
