When you do some logging, I be interested to see datalogs.

If you are new to HPTuners, spend the time to learn how to utilize the scanner to its full potential....it is your friend!

the company that makes the hood scoops for the o6-07s makes a cai that will fit our cars.. i believe it will cost around 280 or so. if you are a little mechanical you can make a good one for under a 100 bucks. I have a k&n filter on mine and a custom heat shield that i made out of sheet metal.. I painted the side facing the filter flat black and i have that heat reflecter stuff from auto zone on the outside.. and one 22 degree sprectre intake tube coming out of the throttle body.. its got two rubber couplers over it to keep it from heating that tube up.

Injectors... yeah, i have the same problem haha. working on a turbo set up and it doesnt seem that the stock injectors will really last pass 3 psi or so. i know that fuel runs out (tuned) between a 50 and a 75 shot dry...
which is why i came here, to see if you guys had similar issues and someone solved them... has anyone managed to find a set of injectors that can be used in the lz9?

a guy on 60degreeV6 dropped some low clearance 8.1L big block (silverado, avalanche, tahoe etc...) in his on his 3.9 fiero swap... i'm thinking about junk yard diving for some as they're 35 bucks a pop generally. but he also has the e85 variant of the lz9 (lzd if i remember correctly)

do you guys know if the e85 and pump gas engines have the same injectors?? any help would be appreciated, thanks guys!

just an update for you guys:

got hptuners hooked up over the weekend and got some readings and such. the injector flow rate is reading at 29.99 lbs/hour...
i'm also hitting 75% dc up here at 5000ft elevation, usually atleast 6000 da. i did run into some people using these 44lbs/hour injectors in their 8.1s. and a guy put the original 8.1L injectors into the 3.9 so if you guys end up running boost, or spraying a lot here are some injectors that may or may not work. but its a start...

what i have noticed that the chevy engins that are the v6 models. they have very much potential. very quick to boot the different models of v6 chevy has from the 3.1 to the 3.9 have very much potential. the original 3.5 and the 3.1 v6 were used in the gnx models that were turbo and standered. its frustrating that gm tamed there potent v6 models.
