Default 1995 MC Z34 CEL light problem.

Hello All,
I have a problem with my 95 MC Z34, when I turn on my car it takes the CEL a couple seconds to turn on but the wierd part is when I step on the brake after a couple seconds it turns off, I have done this several times and the same thing happens, I would like to know if this has happened to anyone else. I would also like to know what code scanner can I use for my 95 MC Z34 I would like to save my self the trip to the dealer. Please help.

I'm not sure if that year is ODB2 compliant or not... I thought there was an off 1.5 complaince once.

I DO know they make scanners for them all and think I saw it at Sears.

As for the issue, it could be a bad brake sensor. I would check the wiring down there to see if something is loose.

Yeah, then this was the ODB1.5 year. You will need to find a special scanner that will read this. Keep an eye out at popular auto stores and like I said try Sears.

I finally got car scanned at my local repair shop for free, The mechanic said the only code I am throwing is the oil pressure sensor needs to be replaced, I will replace in my next oil change as well as my oil level sensor, my question is, in the front brakes, is there any sensors I might need to get replace when I change my rotors which are toast and brake pads, I heard of something called front wheel sensors, since my check engine light turns off a couple seconds after I step on the brakes I wanted to know of anything I need to change while I am doing my brake, I plan to use my tax money next yearto put into this car. Please help Monte Carlo Gurus.
