I am having some issues with my transmission. It is hard to get into gear and once in gear it won't go all the way into park.
I replaced the shifter and the shift cable as part of a trouble shoot. so they are all good. I tried to shift into gear by hand , no dice. So I pulled out the influencer, a hammer, and tapped on it. It moves but really really hard.

Today i drained the trans and pulled off the driver side cover to see if I can find out whats up. It is definitely internal. i believe its the plunger thingy that goes in and out. but i'm kinda scarred to start tearing apart atm without further advice.

I know our trannies are very weak. I had mine rebuilt this last summer. I would recommend taking it to a shop if you can afford it and get it checked out.

 

No money for that. But I do have tools and I can figure most things out on my own.

Just need a little helping advice/tutorial/direction.
