6th Gen ('00-'05): Whats a good wax
#23
I hit the same down pour on the way home from Nats and when I got home - there was hardly a water spot on Precious! Just a couple of spots on the bumper and exhaust tips.

i wasreally close to getting meguiars wash and wax today but due to my son party coming up i just got the armorall....is there really a difference between the armorall and meguiars wash and wax?

Well, wash and wax does a decent job on a car that's already been waxed...but it, by itself, will not give you a waxed shine. Never used the armorall but since this is a discussion about waxing wanted to prepare you, the name is misleading.

ahh....i also had added some turtle wax black spray...smelled like blueberry haha but it did leave a nice shine and i used it before when it rained for 3 days when the sun came back out it had looked like i just washed it

Tell you what you want to do for a beautiful shine...wash it well with the Meguiars Wash n Wax, then use clay bar it (buy it at walmart, ~$20 for Mother's brand). This will make the car shine, then you wax it with a good carnuaba wax to keep it that way. Maybe someone else can recommend more, but that's the best my Monte's ever looked...like it just rolled off the production line.

No doubt Matt:
Yurs definitely has the depth and shine going on!
I remember when my paint use to look as good as urs!
Definitely... Black is the Ultimate color... after seeing yours....
I cringe when I look at mine...Its a no Contest...
I know in 14 yrs.. Yours will still look as Good !
Makes me wish mine wasn't a Daily Driver!
