I have used cleaning products from every company there is and I havnt found anything that tops any of Mothers products. Mothers Carnauba wax (the solid stuff) in my opinion gives the best shine of any wax ive used.

I hit the same down pour on the way home from Nats and when I got home - there was hardly a water spot on Precious! Just a couple of spots on the bumper and exhaust tips.

Well, wash and wax does a decent job on a car that's already been waxed...but it, by itself, will not give you a waxed shine. Never used the armorall but since this is a discussion about waxing wanted to prepare you, the name is misleading.

Tell you what you want to do for a beautiful shine...wash it well with the Meguiars Wash n Wax, then use clay bar it (buy it at walmart, ~$20 for Mother's brand). This will make the car shine, then you wax it with a good carnuaba wax to keep it that way. Maybe someone else can recommend more, but that's the best my Monte's ever looked...like it just rolled off the production line.
