Thats a bummer for sure, did you see my post with the extra part numbers? You might want to check that last GM part # and see if it is the one you want. If you go to that web site and post what you want they will send into the data base and someone else might have just what you want.

 

That sucks. I have a silver SS that I would love to get a "pace-car" spoiler for. If you ever find one online, please post it. I've been searching many places. I'll have to hit up the local junkyards this weekend.

 

Here is another web site that you can try http://www.autoandparts.com/once there look to the left and serach your area for yards that are close to you. You might just find one.

ok now i have a new question. is GM part dealer's stupid? cause i went in today to a local GM dealership and into the parts department, and they told me that the 06/07 spoiler i am looking for doesn't use the same hole pattern that my surfboard spoiler uses. and we looked at a picture, and they do look different. manny i hope you see this post. but what did you have to do to get yours on your car besides painting it. did you patch any holes and drill new ones? le me know thanks.

no extra holes needed if your getting that same spoiler i got and it came from an 06 monte carlo.........when i did mine i toke the surfboard off and installed the 06 on with no problems no extra holes needed .....

if you know someone with that same spoiler i got from the 06 just compare the 2 im a 100% sure its the same holes

i dont know what GM is showing you but i dont think its an 06 spoiler

 

The 06 & 07 stock spoilers will not fit the holes on the surfboard type, you have to use the race inspire one or pace car. which are like a aftermarket type. If you look at the pictures i posted it shows all the holes in them and how it is mounted. I don't and can't get a pic from the other type but it will fit from what i am told. Check my post again i posted the GM part number for it. If someone has one it is not that much trouble for them to open up the trunk and take a picture of the bolt holes and then everyone can see for themselfs. I know everyone says that has one says no holes drill so if you post it we can see for ourself and put it to rest.

When you have 4 different part numbers then yes there is a difference in there somewhere. There is4 spoilers for the 2000 to 2007 Montes. Surfboard, which will interchange with all that has the surfboard.. The upright 2000 to 2005 and the2006 to 2007 then you have the other one that came on the LTZ or LT the SS uses both types. A lot of the parts people do not know about all the spoilers that are on so they look at pictures only. my post with the pictures are the ones GM parts people know about the other are just if you can find a parts person that is willing to look up parts. The part numbers are located on the bottom of each spoiler.

I hope someone will post a picture of theres so we can settle this.

ok i found the post you made with the part numbers, but along my way i read some of your other posts to and something is not making sense. i have a 2000 MC with a surfboard spoiler i want an up right spoiler for it. from what i have heard the spoilers off of the 06/07 models will work without having to patch any holes and drill any new ones. but 2quick4u from what i read that you posted in the past, this won't work. or did i mis-read what you said?

i also know of this website http://dealershipdesigns.com/montecarlo/monte.htmland i was going to buy that spoiler for my car. but i am not sure if even that one will work.

2000 to 07 surfboard will fit all.

Part Number 12497338 is the race inpire one that is surpose to fit the surfboard holes. That is what i was told by GM parts.
Bur if someone has one and post it it will be a big help to all...

 

but i am not looking for a 06/07 surfboard, i am looking for the upright. maybe i am not understanding what your trying to say lol its late here.
