Default spoiler design...

Hey guys... I was thinking of the most universal designs for spoilers and I realized something...

take your average spoiler...

|----------------------------|
|----------------------------|
... ||......................|| <----- vertical part
... ---.....................---

the vertical part, why wouldnt they put it on a rail, that can slide left or right and make the bottom foot a flush peice of metal for you to drill your own hole. that way, then, you can slide the rails left and right for the gap between your holes and the feet can be drilled to fit your holes, so you never have to worry about filling and painting the trunk! if thats confusing, lemme know and Ill clarify.

why? what problems would you have? I mean, youd need to secure it so they wouldnt move for the initial install... but, why!?!? am I missing some major physics here?

Mickey's right, it makes too much sense. They would never do anything that makes sense, LOL.
