I had a Katzkin interior in my Silverado, I think I am about to do the same with the monte. I want to do black leather with gray inserts.

I am very seriously considering doing the neoprene seat covers for the front. They look great, and for the most part, are the only thing you see when you look in the windows. I have a Laser Blue 3LT, with grey interior, and think that the black with grey centers would look great. I know that the heated seats will not work as well, but would there be any issues with the heat and the material sticking together or any other side affect with it?

The Monte in the background is the 2001 Red LS that I had previous to this one. I loved the Victory Red color, it just did not have all the options in it I would have liked, but I drove it for 4 + years.

the neoprem breath rather well and is cloth coverd on both sides also so i would think they would be fine.
Easy way to find out is get a hold of a upolstry shop in the local areas and find out wha thtey have to say.

as far as the ehated seats im sure you will feel them might take longer to get the heat built up in them enough for you to feel it.
the one i have will back up off the seats in about 5min of having them on and they are not as good as the factory and only have one elements.

I found a couple of cheap seat covers that match almost perfectly what I want the seats to look like with the Neoprene covers. I bought them, and am going to put them on to see what they look like. I would rather waste $25 for cheap covers and not like the looks, rather than $300 and not like it.

Question: I am not a mechanic, so it may be a simple answer. Does the headrest come off easily? I tried pushing in the lock button on the outside bar and pulling up, but it did not do anything. Do I need to pull harder? Is there another way?

Thanks.

I found out from my dealership how to take the headrest off, and put it back on, so I have answered my problem. There is a little hole on the plastic piece below the headrest on the opposite post of the lock, and you push something in there to release it, push the lock button in, and pull the headrest up.
