Yes I forgot to mention I use soap too lmao! :p
Dawn works really well to get all the grease and oil off. I personally use powder soap for clothes, like tide for example lol

because the engine paint adheres fairly easy to the rough plastic surface of the engine cover. and also dries very quickly!
