Can't beat the results.

 

You can go to the parts store and buy some tree sap remover, tar remover, whatevers and give that a try. If that doesn't do it...

If the spots aren't coming, then you may want to try this, or if you're clueless with body work, have someone else do it. If you took something like some 600 grit sand paper or maybe a little finer, and wet sanded the car, it might come out. Then you would have to take some polishing compound and buff the car out. That could get it... but you have to know just how much to sand.

 

Keep up with the clay bar and the elbow grease. I think claying the car is the best. But if it's something that dried on it will take several times and many sore elbows, arms, shoulders and back to get it all off. After your done, put several layers of good wax on by hand. That will help save you a bit of grief the next time.

 

I agree with what everyone else is suggesting with the clay bar
and cleaner. However, and this may sound silly. If it is just tree sap
or syrup type junk; You may just be able to use Warm Water with
a sponge that has the netting on it ? That's my two cents.....

 

I have a turtle wax product (not sure of the name) that's designed to remove debris such as bugs and tar. I'd definitely recommend it as I used it to remove three month old baked on road tar off of a white Malibu almost instantly.
