Default My first time with a DA buffer

Used Meguiar's clay bar, then Ultimate Compound, then Deep Crystal Polish, followed it all up with nXt wax, and Armor All tire shine.

It all removed the fine scratches, but the giant nicks from rocks and road salt are still all over the hood. Stupid winter.

Actually I miss-typed it was a Random Orbital, not a DA oops.

It was a borrowed Road Expedition 6 in Buffer/Polisher
120V~60 Hhz 0.5A
2600 OPM

And yes, that is a reflection of a ceiling fan on the garage ceiling.

Very nice job, come down to fort atkinson some time and ill shine it real good 4 you.

Random Orbital and DA are the same think it DA means Dual Action

The only difference between a high speed buffer and a Random Orbital (DA) is the high speed buffer heats up the surface better allowing the compound to cut into the clear better. This providing a smoother surface, and the DA is better used for the applying of wax. The the wax should be removed by a MF towel.

Over all you used some of the best chemicals and came out on top, Nice job

I too just recently did the whole Monte with a rotary waxmaster orbital. It's not quite as fast as it should be, but I got around 80-85% of the swrils out with Meguiras 205 cutting compound followed by Meguiars 105 finsishin polish. (I may be backwards with those numbers) Then I finished it up with some S100 motorcycle wax...WOW! The results are amazing! I got caught in a rain storm going to and from a car show, and when I got back home where it had NOT rainedhe car was SPOTLESS! You couldn't even tell it had been rained on! I just cleaned up the wheels a bit and I was good to go! Great producst for SURE! Highley recommonded as is the use of a DA, orbital, polisher, rotary... whatever you call them, USE IT!!
