its actually a tint vinyl. Very thick! Normal tint is 2mil thick and our tint vinyl is 17mil thick! Its easier to apply, basically you just start at the top of the light and heat the vinyl and streatch it over the light. after you lay the center you streatch around the edges and cut on the edges! Very simple installation and looks great. It all Depends on the Light size. its $17 Per Sq Ft

bigboi- i have been looking at some of those black headlights and i think i will be putting in HIDs as well...and i will definately invest in a can of that night shade for my tail lights, reverse lights, and 3rd brake light.

monte tank- i chose the 4x40" size and it looks pretty good, although i do think that the next size up should still fit. Just remember when putting it on to measure, measure, and measure again to get it lined up perfect because you only get one shot to make it look good.

space- thanks for the positive comments, and that escalade really shows the look im going for. Try doing a search for rob & big's murdered out chevy tahoe for a different take on "murdered out". They painted it, all of the lights/side markers, and the rims all flat black as opposed to gloss. I don't think that I would want that look on my MC but it looks good on an SUV.

boost- how well does light pass through the tint when the lights are blacked out and do you know if it is legal?im still gonna black out my lights regardless (legality never stopped me from tinting windows and getting red underglow), but do you know of any customers getting tickets for it? I know city cops from my town won't pull me over for it because I'm on a first name basis with most of them, but I'm worried about state boys and the cops from some of the neighboring towns; they can be ruthless!!

And about the rims, does anyone know if I can just have them painted all black? do I need to take off the tires or can I just mask them off?

I've all ready got blacked out "Intimidator" emblems, and the chrome emblem on the hood is gone. I've been thinking about having my 18" chrome Eagle alloys redone in black chrome. Then it'd be ALL black, except for the red bowtie on the front and the 3 SS emblems.

and some VHT nite shades http://www.afterthoughtsauto.com/vhtnigpain.html

and that thing will be "murdered out"

Still tossing around of the idea of doing something like that with my car.
Is it possible to take apart the headlights and paint parts of the inside black to get the same effect as those black headlights?

I'm not a fan of painting a car 100% flat black. I've seen a few done like that before. Mostly older Camaros. Makes the car look like it's just been painted with primer, and waiting for final paint. Or it looks like it's just been stolen, and they hit it with few spray cans of flat black to disguise it.
