Default Lets make sure Im doing things right.

I use Mothers hard wax which I've been using ever 2 weeks. I use it by hand following a polish. I know, im doing it too frequently with hard wax. Tommorow in these steps Im going to:
1)wash car
2)clay bar
3)Hard wax (followed by a soft liquid wax every 2 weeks)
4)Polish

Im guessing every year I'll need a new paint job, but hey, It looks shiney for a little bit lol. But in all seriousness, How much damage can I do by waxing it with a hard wax like im doing?
Thank-you
Paul

Let's put it like this, you'll do more damage to the paint washing it than you will waxing it.

As for your 4 step process, swap steps 3 and 4 and you'll be golden.

That's very interesting and makes sense, catching all the dirt, etc in the rag and rubbing it all over the car.

Thanks for the info guys.
