Thumbs up Detailing Products

Hey MC owners, here's a list of the Detailing Products I use for my baby. Anyone can give opinions or they can list there own products that they use as well.

Black Magic Titanium Tire Wet Gel (I think its the best stuff, smells good to)
Armor All Wheel Cleaner
Armor All Original Protectant
Eagle One Glass Cleaner
Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Wax (Also smells good)
All Purpose Soap

I use the gas stations vacuum to vacuum the inside of my car...that thing will suck your arm off.

I also Don't like the Spray on Foam crap for the tires...It just gets everywhere and doesnt last as long as gel IMO

I'm definatly getting new products this summer. ooooo i cant wait!

I'm strictly a Meguires user. Great results for my everyday car and show car.

I mix and match with products. I've bought alot products to simply test. And heres what I've found that works for me.

Mother's California Gold Claybar

Turtle wax Ice polish, the only ice product I've been impressed with. I've done maybe 40 or so polishings on my new, old, family and friend's cars and still more than half a bottle left. Its deffinately worth the price. (awesome product overall)

Meguiars NXT Wax

I used to use Turtle wax Platinum Tire Gel. To shine up my tires but I recently switched to Black magic titanium tire gel and am very impressed with it.

Blue Magic on the rims and stainless steel exhaust tips.

When I still had my Z34 I found that Meguiers Scratch X is excellent at cleaning up baked on gunk from painted aluminum wheels. I have before and after pics of it somewhere.

ok first off armor all isnt good and it doesnt last long. Mothers i personly havent used alot of it but i no a guy with 30 years in detailing and he said "mothers is crap". He also said that Meguries is one of the best products that avaible in stores. Meguries is good because they sell to diffenent lines of products. One is just the normal stuff you see on the shelf and they also have a professonal line. But there is other great stuff out there one site below.

http://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-car-care-products.html

here are the products i use

meg. ulitamate compound - amazing
meg. carnuba wax - great
meg. hot rims wax - amazing
meg. hot shine - awsome becase it has three different settings on it for tire size
meg. clay bar kit
meg. leather cleaner and conditioner
meg. quik interior detailer
meg. exterior quik detailer
meg. quik wax

Invisable Glass - one of the best glass cleaners.

i plan on buying more porducts soon like

meg. professional show room shine
meg. nxt wax
meg. tire gel

I havent been impressed by

Nu Finish - once a year car polish
Nu Finish - scratch doctor
Mothers - Back to black
amor all - tire shine

Ive been reading around for under the hood cleaning, do you think i can rinse it with a hose after covering up the intake, coil packs, and alternator?

to be honest you dont need to cover up the coil packs and alternator just any open filters. Just when you done make sure to start your car a let it run for a lil bit after your done washing just try not 2 soak em.

i use the turtle wax ice car wash once a week, and the meguiar's nxt wax mostly. for quick touch ups i use the meguiar's quick detailer. i also have the turtle wax quick (spray) wax but i like the meguiar's better.

for the inside i've stopped using armor all as of a couple months ago, partially because i've heard so many negative things about it, and partially because i never really liked the way it "finished" anyway. i've started using the meguiar's protectant, i have both the natural shine and the superior shine (that one was free). for the leather i use the meguiar's gold class leather cleaner & conditioner.

for the tires, i have a couple of different products. one by eagle one, one by meguiars and i'm not sure who the other one is by. but they're all pretty good. i prefer the eagle one if i had to pick one, the shine is the best and seems to be the longest lasting. it's a spray bottle though and the overspray on the fenders sucks.

and on the glass i use the stoners invisible glass in the aerosol can, i love that stuff. i use that for every piece of glass anywhere in the car or in the house. i've used that stuff for a long time now.

the clay bar kit i have is the mother's california gold kit and it worked great.

all this talk about this stuff is making me feel like i should go out and clean up the inside and the outside. it really needs a good vacuuming.
