Infinity G35 detail job from hell!
Man, I tell you I sure know how to attract the horrendous detailing jobs. This time it was the Vice President of my company who did a number to his car and called on me to make it right. He was on the freeway at night in a downpour and was lucky enough to run right through a huge puddle of paint. It seems somebody lost a 5 gallon bucket of latex paint that night and it make a huge mess all over his G35. I was hoping a good pressure wash would take car of it but it just laughed at that. So I was asked if I could work my magic on it and make him fall in love with his car again....it took two days to get it back to normal again, a solid 16hrs of rubbing/washing/buffing/claying/polishing/waxing/sealing, etc.
I'll be driving it to work tomorrow morning and will see if my mission was accomplished when he see's it for the first time. I've taken before and after pics but can't put them up until tomorrow so stay tuned. Trust me, it's worth the wait

Pics are uploading as we speak.....
I presented the car this morning, I wish someone was there to catch his expression and reaction in film or video! He was "extremely impressed" and couldn't stop thanking me. When he shook my hand, I swear his eyes watered up and he held my hand for at least 5 seconds....I must admit, it did get to the point of being awkward, haha. But yeah, he loved it! He loved it so much he gave me a $50 tip on top of the $150 charge for the paint removal/detail job.
I know $150 sounds like alot of money, but when you factor in the fact that it took 16hrs of labor to get the results I got you can see that it's a bargain! Just for the detail job alone without the paint removal, I'd normally charge $120+ depending on the level of correction the customer wants. Just the paint removal alone took 12hrs! But since this was the Vice President of my company and all eyes were on me I figured I'd take care of him nicely. Now folks at work have seen firsthand what I can do, no need to prove myself anymore. I'll still give my folks at work discounted work, but not as heavily discounted as this was.
Pics to come shortly
