7th Gen ('06-'07): Ideas to make a monte carlo stand out
#11
OK for the prior questions here's the answers. It has 69002 miles it is an ltz model so it has leather, sunroof, fog lights, (not sure if all have that) it has heated/ ventilated seats. 2 owner i'm the second owner (old person before me owned it). It has no problems but unfortunately a Prius pulled out in front of me and mess up the front besides that nothing wrong with it. I put a picture in the of the damage in so you can see what it did but I think i totaled that Prius. Getting fixed this week so. Also it does have the 3.9L so i love that. It gets alot of compliments. I have a 500 budget but less the better. I hope I answered the questions.

ok here is my opinion, tint the windows, get striping if you like that, get a set of 18" rims with a little bigger tire to fill in the wheel well better, possibly look into getting a set of lowering springs, paint the calipers, aftermarket hoods really set a car out from the crowd, exhaust will make a little more noise and get you some looks, a home made CAI would sound awesome as well, paint parts of the engine components will make under the hood "pop" paint some of the interior if you want to go real far with it.
all the painting will be cheap to do, rims will get pricey, hoods are pricey, tint will be around 250-300, striping i got no idea on price, lowering springs i am guessing around 300, a home made CAI will cost around 50-75 at very most, exhaust depends on what you do with it.
hope this helps!!
here is a few pics of turbo monte, she is a 2004 so she is a 6th gen but you get the idea... there is only 2 limiting factors on how unique you make the car and they are money or you are happy and dont want to change anything else.

First off, welcome to the Forum.
Here's my lowered 06 SS.
Just a nice, clean look which is how I like it; no stickers, pin striping, decals, vinyl, etc. The most significant change I've made is lowering the car; 1.8" drop on CM lowering springs and Bilstein HD Series struts. I've done quite a bit to the car now but most changes have been subtle because I do like the factory look. I no longer have the black headlights shown here (short lived mod; I went back to the factory headlights) but these are the most recent shots I have of the car and they get the point across.

Paint it Competition Yellow! LOL
Welcome to the MCF Family. There are many things you can do to Uniqueafy your car. Maybe pinstriping instead of racing stripes. Tints and Rims are always a good start. And Customizing your engine bay. As many other members will tell you, it all depends on your wallet and personal taste. I lifted the rear of my 02 SS 2" cause I'm a child of the 60s and 70s. And That's just a start for me. I plan to finish my exhaust, doing my engine bay, and add red checkers in a custom design over the rear tires. Check out some of the threads here on MCF, lots of members have Personalized there Montes and they all look good.
Congrats, Welcome and good luck with your Monte!

Thanks for your reply. You have a very rare Monte Carlo 4-Sure.
The LTZ was only produced in 2006 & it's the only year that GM put the awesome 3.9L 242 H.P. in the Monte Carlo. (Not many mod's for the 3.9L, but it's a great engine I sure hope that you have a good body shop repairing the damage Keep us updated `OK
