Nice work frank!
The sides of the console now being suede remind me of how cars like my '94 Grand Am and '84 Camaro were CARPETED on the sides. Just goes to show how the manufactures are now trying to save a buck.

yea your right on that, but then again some luxury cars even have the entire consoles or even whole interiors wrapped in leather or some other nice material

taking it apart like you see in my 1st pic is another thing though lol
I had to break 3 rivets. i'd rather let someone else do a how-to on that

did you have to take the shifter handle off? i was wondering how you made the suede look perfect... i want to take the part under the Hvac controls off.. if thats even possible. the walls to the ash trey i may just cut them off...

yep, removing the handle makes things a little easier lol

hmmm not sure which part your talking about lol
the top piece of the console pops right off though. it does have one hidden phillips screw under the little mat though

this is the top piece...



The piece on the side that i wrapped in suede is also removable, its held on by two screws on the back side :p

ahh! thanks! that does help actualy! i want to remove the part in front of the front cup holder so its all open under the HVAC. i want to make room for a EQ, bass *****, Volt meters. may have to add some suede for sure. then ill just have to do my head liner

id rather not.but might have too. i dont know where else id put everything. im affraid to chop up big stuff like that. ill just have to make a frame for what i need then fiberglass it.. sounds like a big project though..
