Never use glass cleaner with ammonia, just to point out the obvious. Newspaper and micro fiber cloth are the bomb.

I use the Invisible glass, I do this in the shade then when cleaning/ drying I go two different directions... Inside I go up & down then outside I go side to side. So if there are streaks I can tell if the streaks are on the outside or on the inside. Then I know I'll get a comment for this but I use rainX afterwards. It causes a little streaking but when it rains or you go through a car wash the windows dry a lot faster without a lot of water drops

Streaking can also be caused by an accumulation of acid rain, industrial fallout, etc. on the glass. There are products on the market to remove it, but a fine grit rubbing compound does a great job removing it. Follow up with Stoner Invisible Glass. You can also minimize streaks by wiping in one direction rather then back and forth.
Yes, ahhhh the memories of the "Streaking" days.... Lol... "Been there, done that".....

Thanks for this everyone... I will be trying out all of them one by one... Ill let you know what one works out best.. Thanks everyone again...Michael Clemmer...

If you do have contaminates on the window a clay bar (regularly used on the paint) is also good on windows (used with detailer spray)

I would NEVER use any steel wool on a car window
Never thought of using the clay bar...hmmmmm.. Yea, been getting some bad feedback on the steel wool... Now that I hear this from so many people, why in the world would a guy say to use it? Wonder what it looked like if he really used it, or just wanted me to ruin my windshield... Makes me wonder now....

Zaino offers a product that does an excellent job of cleaning windows. It even removes minor scratches and pitting:

Hmm, I've always been faithful to good ole' Moonshine! But I'm kinda tempted to do the newspaper thing now!

Here is a video I just stumbled across. It may help those out who have trouble cleaning glass. I managed to find a system that works for me. My main problem was the towel I was using. Anyway, here is the vid.
