I can't figure out why you are polishing steel.

Thanks!

Latest project here.. Might be a bit excessive for others here but I don't mind.. got plenty of attention at car show for being a daily driven Monte Carlo so...

Here are a few pics from the car show I went to today.

I was once a 2001 pace car owner. RIP. Still my favorite <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comMonte Carlo</ST1:p. Engine bay looks great. I'm sure the time you spent will be rewarding if not just self rewarding. The head light covers and the rims. Well not a big fan. It kind of takes away from the whole pace car theme. But heck. It's your ride. You’re the one that drives her and gawks at her. Do as you please. REALY REALY LIKE THAT <ST1:pENGINE BAY! </ST1:pWhy would you polish steel? Because it looks awesome. THAT’S WHY!!!!! Great job.

Thanks for the input! I can't lie, the wheels aren't my favorite. Just something to change it up for a bit. Some day maybe I'll have something different. The polishing has been rewarding thus far, then again it's only been a few days. Hoping it's not too difficult to maintain but even if it is, just another reason to spend time working on it

Shiny! Are you doing anything to protect the polished steel from rust?

I didn't realize that's all that is needed

Ever consider clear coating the polished parts?
