Well the 0000 steel wool and some Turtle Wax polishing compound did the trick. I thought my eyes had been getting bad in the last year... turns out those water spots were distorting my windshield so badly! Thanks for the advice guys. I've switched to the Stoners as well, seems to work a lot better than that old windex!

I put some Rain-X with the repellant on the windshield. I didn't know Stoners had a version of the stuff with water repellant, about 50 cents more than the Rain X . Anyone ever used that? How does it work? Better/worse/about the same?

I usually just use soap and water on the outside then a dry microfiber towel to clean up any spots left behind. Maybe just a little Windex on the inside sprayed on the rag tho to avoid over spray.

I dont know if its because I live like 10 min away from the stoner plant or what but I was never into the stoner products...

The Glass Cleaner I suggested in post 3 is by far the best class cleaner I used hands down.. and very low cost because its a concentrate..

Ya know, I've been told I'm great at detailing cars but I can't for the live of me clean the windows without streaking them! Seems like I've tried everything but now I'll have to try some of the things in this thread to see if I can have a streakless monte this car show season lol

Stoners Invisible Glass is the best window cleaner I've used in the past 25 years, No streaks and it really makes the windows almost invisible. I've tried just about everything out there and I love the Invisible Glass - clean white cotton towels work well.

I noticed using newspapers instead of towels and then "drying" the windshield with a bath towel seems to take care of the streaking if I'm using Stoners or Rain X
