Default Air conditioning quit

Hey all,

My A/C was working fine on my '82 when one morning nothing worked. The heater or A/C won't come on at all. The fan switch does nothing. The fuse and electrical connection at the blower motor look ok. Any ideas?

Are you saying the fan blower doesn't work or the compressor doesn't work?

Check the plug connetion at the switch.
If not that check the resistor out that is by the heater motor.
My guess would be the connection at the switch.....

could be the blower motor too, but most likely its just the resistor or the connection for the control.

i also know that on some vehicles of the compressor quits then so does everything else, but you can usually get air coming out of the vents

On sister's car, the blower quit and it was the ECM.

I would pull out the dash and look at connections. See if you can smell if anything is burning in the motor.
