Window only rolls up when it wants to. Help!
So My 03's driver side power window rolls down with ease, no problems. But it struggles to roll up. I press the button and it doesnt want to go up. Sometimes u have to press it a wierd way to get it working. Sometimes it takes like 200 clicks to finally bring the window up! There is no jam or anything. It is definetly electrical. Do u think it is the switch, motor, or maybe something simple as a fuse. I have already had to drive in the pouring rain with it wide open![sm=headbang.gif] Thanks for the help![sm=feedback.gif]

RE: Window only rolls up when it wants to. Help!
hmm there is only one fuse for the window motor so i doubt that its the fuse, the switch is an interesting thought because one of the contacts on the switch could have gone bad. the switches may b the problem because the way the wiring is done there is only one ground and depending on which way the switch is pushed other switches close and that routes the power one way and closes another switch to connect the ground so the power. If the switches to route the power and ground are good when the window rolls down, that does not neccesarily mean that the switches for the power and ground to roll the window down are good. So u may have bad switches. Then again it could b as simple as a bad motor. U can test the motor by removing it and applyin power to one side and a ground to the other and cin if the motor spins and then switch the power and ground around and c if the motor operates

Can I take the really simple route for you?
Is it / Has it been cold for you? Sometimes you just need a little oil in an electric window. I've had a place like firestone do it for free.
