Hello,
I went online today in www.rockauto.com and was seraching for the temp sensor in order for my radiator fan to work, I noticed that on their website they have Temp Sender and Temp Sensor and they look like to different items. My question is what is the job of each sensor and also which do I need to replace. Also I would like to know the location of each sensor in order to get an idea of where to look. Please help as I am getting frustrated with this. I also would like to know where are the grounds on the fan wiring in order for me to check it out. I already replaced the relays and still no luck. If I gound the fan it works so somehow the signal is not being transmitted to the fan to kick on. any advice will help.

The sender i think sends the temp to a gauge, whereas the sensor would tell the ECM to turn on fans.

 

Where did you find them? I played with the site for about 5 min but couldn't find those items. What is the path you took to find them?
