Default Your tire opinion?

So to all those who casual driving, what type of tires do you usually purchase for just over all driving that gets great MPG? I know the argument could be settled by just saying purchase two sets of tires, but for those who don't live in horrible snow conditions as bad as others, and have decent heat/cold conditions. Basically Midwest conditions, what type of tire do you prefer to purchase? All season or Sport?

usually all season. Although I am thinking of getting sport tires for my next set on my Monte since it doesn't see the snow.

Yeah mines my DD, I think my mpg is probably going lower due to me needing tires soon, but I wont probably get them until about December or so. My girl popped one of my all seasons, and she replaced it with a sport -___-; so.....yeah. Maybe ill do all seasons and then when snow hits, buy two front snows. What do you drive as a beater?

1992 lumina I bought for $500. with 115k on it and gets 25.5mpg average They are great cars. Saves the Monte in the process too.

it helps for sure. I have owned it for about 3 years now. As soon as I bought my Monte I was on the look for one haha

My beater is also my mean machine . 97 monte l67 swap. 25 mpg average. I run 225/45/18 bridgestone potenzas

Im thinking I want a manual Honda...but I don't wanna invest in buying a clutch tho ahahahahahaha. So maybe ill just stick it out into a auto.

My last Monte I invested in the Michelin all season tires, you just cant beat the warranty on their tires.. Im in the same vote as you though mine are almost worn to the bridges.

If you don't care about performance, just look at treadwear ratings.
