Widest rear tires with stock suspension

I just picked up a minty old 77 Monte with stock wheels and tires. What is the largest rear tire I can fit in the back and what offset would I need?

2nd gen 74 monte

there seems to be limited help on the older monte carlo's in this thread. I just picked up a 74 monte and was also wondering about maximum tire width and size.

did you find any answers?
