anything with the same tire diameter shouldnt throw the speedo off. tire diameter not rim diameter. so if it has a 26in tire on it anything thats 26in tall wont throw off the speedo. so a 20 rim will be fine as long as you dont go over the factory tire height. if you do youll have to get the speedo recalibrated or live with it being off. if yours is like mine the tpms should be in the valve stems.

there are calculators out here on the internet where you can punch in all the information (rim diameter, tire size etc.) and it will calculate the overall diameter. So you can punch in your original data and compare. Just a helpful tip

Actually, there are two types of tpms. One type is in the valve stem, the other is held on a band on the center of the wheel. Both of these styles measure actual tire pressure and send the info back to the computer on your vehicle.

What the op has is an indirect tpms. It uses the wheel speed sensors to tell how fast each wheel is rotating, and if one starts to rotate faster at a set percentage compared to the rest, it triggers the dash light. With that being said, if all of your tires are low on air, (or flat for that matter) then the system can't tell because they are all rotating at the same speed.
