Just bought a set of 18inch SS wheels w/ no tires, just wondering what tires my fellow MC owners would reccomend.

 

Did you get Monte SS rims or Impala SS rims, the Impala rims are chrome. I wanted to buy them but they wanted $2000 for them.

 

Didn't know there was a difference, bought off ebay, the seller said monte carlo/impala SS rims. Lookin at the pic i cant realy tell but they dont look like their chrome. Tire rack says 235/50-18, can i get a lower profile tire?

 

I haven't tried Ebay yet. But the rims for a Monte SS 2006/2007and Impala SS are different for 2008 Impala. The Impala is the only one that is chrome. It all depends on the year. I don't know about the tires.

 

does anyone kno if a 235/55-18 will cause rubbing?

 

Whats wrong with the 235-50-18s? 245-45-18s should fit also, maybe. Thats whats on our Solstice GXP. I have 235-50-18s on the Intimidator SS

 

well a friend of mine said he had a set of 235/55-18's. I want a 45 tire just to be a lil more low profile.
