I drive a 5th gen z34 with stock wheels, stock suspension, and a strut brace on the front.

Im trying to find the best tire pressure for all around performance mainly handling.

What would you guys suggest?

 

I'd say 32 psi is the normal for the most part! just my OP!

 

If I were you, I would stick with the factory recommendations for now. Lower the pressure and you will start affecting fuel economy and excessive wear on the tires. Too much pressure and you will have an improper wear on your tread and risk catastrophic failure of your tires. The best thing to increase performance (tire wise) is to purchase a set of performance tires. I understand that this is not a great answer, but its the best that I've got. Good luck.

Im currently running 35psi because im rolling to sidewall when driving tenn backroads

 

i run 40 psi,max psi on my tires is 44psi.check the sidewall to be sure of max psi.

 

MAX PSI is when the air in the tire is heated up. Standing cold PSI is written on your door panel, or trunk lid.

If you are running 40 PSI and checking when the tires are cold, they could easily be in the 50s when you are on the highway, which can make them blow out

 

I used to run 5 under max no matter what for years, only recently I have been airing them up to what's in the door.

My only real problem is that when I drive on the MANY backroads of Tennessee, im noticing areas where the tire rolls over the sidewall at 32psi. Im running 35 now and it doesn't seem to do it as badly now.

 

I run mine higher than the door and lower than max psi.

Currently 37.5 on the MC and 43.5 on the TA. I also advice getting a nice digital tire pressure guage.

I do watch the tread for any center or uneven wear, no problem to date, been runing them this way for about 2 years now...

 

i check them warm and set a 40 psi warm.
