Another one I can think of is Matt (Slugger088). He lowered his 2006 SS last year and is dropped on the exact same setup (struts and lowering springs) as I'm running on. Difference is he's running on 20x8.5 aftermarket wheels on P255/35R20 tires. As for additional weight, I'm not sure. This is the closest to a side shot I have of his but it still shows the stance well.

Yep mine has been lowered like Matt has said.

No additional weight in the trunk for me.

BMR sway bars, control arms, trailing bars, and KYB AGX struts Interesting in that I thought more members had in fact lowered their Monte's. My handling is butt tight, body roll is minimal, she holds to the road very well while negotating high speed hard curves and turns.
What size were the springs?

What about these? They come out to 1.7 drop in front and 1.5 in back (dont know why every companies front drop is more than back, looks like back needs more, especially since my trunk is empty). I will prob have to lift the front ones a bit tho....... Keep in mind I only need these till next summer.

Just fyi, the Eibach lowering springs (Pro-Kit) are no longer available; they were discontinued for the 2000-05 Monte Carlo (also, to note, Eibach had a set in development stages for the 2006-07 but it never became available). I found all this out when I went to lower my 06. I actually ran the Eibachs with the KYB AGX struts on my 2003 Monte Carlo SS, so same setup as Greg is running on his, and I believe the Eibach specs were 1.3" front drop, 1.0" rear drop.

As for that ebay link, I've never heard of that manufacturer so I couldn't tell you anything about those springs. Their drop specs listed are basically the same as the Canuck Motorsports lowering springs.

Ok, good to know, thanks! I was just wondering if 1.7 would be too much. I also see 1.3/1.3 and other sizes. I also don't want to go too little.

I want to lower my Monte, so any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated! (Want to do lowering springs now, then after approx. 1 year I want to bag it! Below is just a photoshopped pic of my Monte to get an idea of what she would look like lowered.
Are those 20s?

Back- Held Motorsports Coilovers
Front - Stock

Had 2x 12"s in the trunk at the time, but that wouldn't have mattered since you set the coilovers wherever you want.

one more pic for fun... just because I like this one:
