Ok, I made this thread so I can see your lowered Montes! Please show ONE side view pic and tell what size wheels/tires, and what company and size lowering springs you used for front and for back, or any other method you used to lower it. Also say whether you have an empty normal trunk or a heavy weight sound system in it, thanks!!! I also heard you can pinch your power steering lines if you lower too much? I want to lower my Monte, so any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated! (Want to do lowering springs now, then after approx. 1 year I want to bag it! Below is just a photoshopped pic of my Monte to get an idea of what she would look like lowered.

 

I think it looks GREAT that way. But you need to cut the grass

 

Tires: P235/50R18 (stock tire size) on the stock wheels
Lowering springs: Canuck Motorsports (1.8" front drop, 1.5" rear drop) installed on Bilstein Heavy-Duty series struts
Additional weight: I do have a single 12" subwoofer in the trunk which, considering all components for it (sub, amp, box), I would say adds an estimated 50-70 lb. of additional weight in the rear.

Thanks Matt! I am finding that with alot of the companies the front springs drop lower than the rear. I think I need the rear to drop more.

 

Come on, I know there are more lowered Montes here!!

You'd think there'd be quite a few 2000-07's lowered but actually, the more I think about it, I don't think there's a lot of current "active" members that have dropped their's.

Another one I can think of is Matt (Slugger088). He lowered his 2006 SS last year and is dropped on the exact same setup (struts and lowering springs) as I'm running on. Difference is he's running on 20x8.5 aftermarket wheels on P255/35R20 tires. As for additional weight, I'm not sure. This is the closest to a side shot I have of his but it still shows the stance well.

I've also been searching & I can't find many member's that have lowered their Monte's...I think Greg > Zippy has his lowered.

Ha Space your too good. I dug up this older photo of sam's Monte and mine for a visual comparison in that Sam's is not lowered and mine is. I will look for a more proper side shot of my Monte later, trying to get out of the door and off to work right now. Stock OEM 16" wheels and the Eibach lowering springs. BMR sway bars, control arms, trailing bars, and KYB AGX struts Interesting in that I thought more members had in fact lowered their Monte's. My handling is butt tight, body roll is minimal, she holds to the road very well while negotating high speed hard curves and turns.
