Default ride smoother??

Hey guys, got a 2001 monte 3400, was wondering what I could do to the suspension to make it a smoother ride. Better shocks? I know nothing about suspension keep in mind. Thanks

That would be your best bet.... I'm not sure what shocks would improve the smoothness of the ride though...I mainly know performance upgrades and that would be the opposite making it stiffer.

How many miles do you have on it? They might just need to be replaced with stock shocks.

i think you mean struts dont you??? the monte carlo's have struts on them, putting new struts and coils on are going to make it a little stiffer ride until they break in a bit, but yes, they will make it a bit smoother, you could try new tires too

I agree. Montes are known for their smooth ride. You might just need new struts. Are you running stock tires?

Doah!!! There is the Homer of the day for me.

Yes I meant struts.

Tires wouldn't be a bad idea either. I've heard alot of good reviews over Goodyear's TripleTred. Check them out at http://www.tirerack.com
