cool thanks. i have one more question. I have a edelbrock avs carb on my combo and if im sitting at a light and mash the gas the car dies and then a second later gets up and go like a bat out of hell. why is that? i only hear about this from edelbrocks. i think its cause edelbrocks dont have a power valve like holleys and race carbs.

shouldnt be the lack of a power valve. is this a vacuum secondary carb? perhaps the secondary spring is too soft and the secondaries are opening too quickly? ive never messed with the edelbrocks to my knowledge theyre similar to the carters. i have one bagged up on top of an intake but never used it. my holley was doing the same deal. took a bunch of tuning. squirter swaps and jet swaps and a bunch of test runs. it used to suffer from your same issue. like i said i dont know anything about those but im sure if you type into google or even check car crafts site theyll have a step by step on how to tune that carb. let me know how you make out.
